The Distillery Historic District is a pedestrian-only neighbourhood in downtown Toronto built around the preserved buildings of the former Gooderham and Worts distillery. Its cobblestone lanes and red-brick industrial buildings form one of Canada’s largest collections of preserved Victorian-era industrial architecture. The district now contains more than 40 boutiques, galleries, studios, restaurants, cafes, theatres, and public art installations, including the Young Centre for the Performing Arts. Trinity Street and Mill Street are central to exploring the area, while seasonal events include the Distillery Winter Village and Toronto Light Festival. The district is also part of a National Historic Site of Canada.

Riverdale Park is a large green space in Toronto’s east end, divided into Riverdale Park East and West on opposite sides of the Don River valley. The park is known for its broad grassy areas, sports facilities, walking paths, wooded sections, and elevated views of the downtown skyline, particularly from the hill beside Broadview Avenue. A pedestrian bridge links the two sides and provides access to the Lower Don Trail, connecting the park with the wider Don Valley trail network. Nearby Riverdale Farm adds a small working-farm experience, while winter brings opportunities for tobogganing on the park’s designated hills.
